Gringa Who?

Oh, hey!  That's me!

I'm a college student in her early twenties with a desire to follow God and a heart for Latin America.

Clearly you don't want to know everything, but here are a few important points:

1. I love to read.  While I much prefer fiction, I have been known to struggle through the occasional nonfiction book when friends convince me it's worthwhile.

2. I love to write.  And I have the boxes of journals to prove it.

3. I'm a nursing student.  This means while I tell myself I'm "not addicted" to coffee, I can't make it through a morning class without a cup.  It also means my friends come to me with lots of medical questions that I'm pretty unqualified to answer.  And it means I'm generally sleep deprived, which brings us back to the coffee.

4. I have an unfortunate habit of telling God what's going to happen.  For example, I once told God I would study anything in college "except nursing."  It's quite a bad habit and I recommend you not try it yourself.  But hey, I'm working through it and God is teaching me a lot along the way.

5. While I love to travel, my journey currently has me calling Indiana my home.  I know, it's not exactly the foreign adventure one would long for, but part of me will always be a Hoosier at heart-- more in the "let me help you, neighbor" way and less in the "chewing my tobacco and drinking my beer" way.

Oh, hey look!  It's me in a cold place.  (As cruel as Indiana winters can be, they sure are gorgeous.)
