If you're wondering why I travel: I absolutely love experiencing other cultures. I believe every person and every people group reflects different aspects of their Creator. I also have this crazy dream that the Lord will use me to make the world a better place. Sometimes as part of that journey, He calls me across the street, but other times He calls me a bit farther.
If you've wondering why I'm okay calling myself "gringa": If you're a bit confused, "gringa" is a Spanish term used to identify someone as American. Although sometimes meant to be derogatory and synonymous with terms like "loud and obnoxious," I like to think it can mean something else. Yes, I am an outsider and, yes, I am American, but I'd like to see the term gringa one day mean something more like, "You are different from me, but that is not bad."
